Ecological Fibers’ website (www.ecofibers.com)  may automatically collect specific aspects of your personal information in order to assist us in following trends and determining future edits to our products and other legitimate business practices

The information that is collected automatically by visiting www.ecofibers.com is the following:

Information about your computer: we continuously monitor activity on our website in order to identify trends, analyze product performance, track patterns of page activity including page view and link use patterns. The information that we monitor on our website, with exception to our contact us and Sample Request forms, is the following:

  2. Sample Requests: In order to effectively process sample requests, we require you to fill out contact information. This information includes your name, mailing address, email and phone numbers. We also keep records of which samples you request as that is important information for our purchasing department. This data will kept by Ecological Fibers for as long as we deem necessary.
     
  3. Cookies: Ecological Fibers, Inc.  may use cookies on the www.ecofibers.com website. Cookies are small data files that are downloaded onto your computer when you visit a particular web site. Ecological Fibers will not notify the general public of our updates or security features unless we deem it necessary.

 

Personal Data obtained by other means

  1. Employment Applications. When an individual applies for a position of employment at Ecological Fibers, Inc. Ecological Fibers requires the following information from the applicant. This information is not shared outside the company.
     
    1. Accepted Applicants: Applicants who become employees of Ecological Fibers, Inc must provide the following information. This information is kept on file in order to process payments and track employment history:
      1. Name; 
      2. Phone number; 
      3. Home and e-mail addresses; 
      4. Driver's license or passport;
      5. Social security number;
      6. Marital status;
      7. Family member information;
      8. Financial information; 
      9. Professional career/employment information;
      10. and Healthcare information.
         
    2. Denied Applicants: Those who apply for employment with Ecological Fibers, Inc. and are not selected for employment will have their applications which include the above information on file in paper form for two years, after which the files are destroyed.
       
  2. Client and Vendor Data: Ecological Fibers retains personal data from Clients and Vendors for the following reasons.
    1. Communicating with corporate business partners about business matters or possible contracts for the operation of the business;
    2. Conducting relevant tasks for legitimate business purposes including marketing and advertising;
    3. Evaluating job candidates, profiling prospective customers, or building mailing lists for product information distribution;
    4. Human Resources administration and internal communications;
    5. Meeting legal or regulatory requirements and Ecological Fibers’ internal policies;
    6. Management of travel, lodging, and related expenses; and
    7. Other purposes disclosed at the time of collection.

In addition, as a service provider (data processor) to its clients (data controllers), Ecological Fibers, Inc. may be in possession of client data that contains information defined as personal data. Ecological Fibers does not process, store, or handle personal data in any other manner other than that directed by the primary data controller.

    Accordingly, Ecological Fibers does not share, uniquely identify, or in any way use personal data for any commercial purpose other than that defined by the controller. In some cases we may disclose personal data with a subcontractor (sub-processor) contracted to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to credit and background checks in order to provide better service to our clients. Notification of this will be given to said clients.
     

  4. Access to, Modification and Deletion of Personal Information - PROCEDURE
    EU data subjects are permitted to exercise the right to access, correct, restrict, object to, update, move, or delete any personal data collected and stored by Ecological Fibers, Inc. Ecological fibers may have a legitimate or legal basis to retain certain personal information. Ecological Fibers, Inc. is required to respond to all requests within 30 days.
