THE DECORATION
How was this tube decorated?
This tube was printed on a Mutoh® printer using it’s rotary tool in three passes
- First Pass: By using a white underpainting, the material’s glitter coating was masked out, allowing for complete control of where the glitter effect was visible.
- Second Pass: Using CMYK, the image is printed over the bare glitter coating and the masked-out white areas.
- Final Pass: A clear varnish was added to add a gloss and texture to certain parts of the image, to mimic the gold in the original painting.
